Troop 105 in cooperation with Shawnee Ski Area are hosting the
Twentieth Annual Scout Ski Weekend at Shawnee Mountain Ski
Resort. All Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl
Scouts, Scouters and their families can take advantage of the special
ski rates
this weekend. Beginners will be
restricted to the beginners’ areas. Your troop can
come and ski all day Saturday and Sunday for one low price. Troop 105
is providing accomodations at Notre Dame High School for the first 800
prepaid Scouts and Scout Leaders only. Doors open no earlier than 6:00
p.m. Friday evening. Two-deep adult leadership is required for
overnight lodging. Each day your troop can
purchase hoagies and sodas for a low price. On Saturday night there
will be a spaghetti dinner at Notre Dame High School. Purchase one of
our packages deals which combine everything for one low price. On both
Saturday
and Sunday you can have breakfast at Shawnee Mountain. For more
information, please fill out the form below and hit submit. We will
send you a registration package. Registrations are not final until we
received payment in full.
The
competition will be on a
NASTAR course. Proof of Scout
registration for this competition is mandatory (i.e., individual Scout
ID card
or copy of current BSA Troop charter). NO EXCEPTIONS. Awards will be presented to the top five
Scouts in each of the three youth age groups, the top adult skier and
all four
members of the top three troops.
We expect to reach maximum
capacity again. Prepayment is required to reserve your space that would
include
lodging, pasta dinner, and hoagies with soda, breakfasts and patches.
Pre-registration (but not prepayment) is requested for lessons and
competition
because of space limitations.
As a reminder, anyone, adult or
youth with alcohol &/or illegal drugs will be banned from the
entire ski
event, including lodging, and all monies paid will be forfeited. There
is not hard coolers allowed at Shawnee Mountain.
Please register early so that you
will not be disappointed. We had over
2,800 participants each of the past two years from seven states.
Lodging space
will surely be filled again.
Please have an accurate count of
those who will be participating because this year we will NOT
OFFER ANY REFUNDS AT THE DOOR. We must insist that this year we
have an accurate count of those who prepaid for packages and breakfasts
no
later than February 3, 2010.
We extend our warmest wishes and
hope to see all of our old friends this March and anticipate making new
ones!
